The Gin Mill Trio from Finland plays rockin’ blues
with style of 1940-1960 period. Influences include
The Big Three Trio, Howlin’ Wolf, Little Junior Parker,
Memphis Minnie, Bo Diddley, Robert Nighthawk, Big
Bill Broonzy. Their musical mission is to make roots mu-
sic with explosive energy. They have released a debute
album on local Goofin’ Records label – ”Atomic Blues
Hits”. It was the 2021 domestic blues release poll winner
on the Finnish blues magazine Blues News. On January
2023 they ended up to semifinals on International
Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA.

Line-up: Petteri Karkkila – vocals & cocktail drums, Eero Vaajoensuu – electric lead
guitar and Mika Liikari – upright bass. Experienced roots musicians are known also
from The Barnshakers, Hogs of Rhythm (Mika), The Silver Bullets, SaraLee (Eero) etc.
